I have been dying to blog this engagement session!!! I was lucky enough to have all the stars align and have the chance to work with the most amazing and talented people to bring an inspiration shoot alive to the most well deserving couple I have ever met.
Courtney & Miguel are planning a 2011 wedding in Connecticut and have plans for a romantic honeymoon trip to Italy, with those honeymoon plans in mind we created a special engagement session centered around the vintage, 1960's "La Dolce Vita" film. We tried to keep it as traditional, mod and classic as possible (all while still shooting in Connecticut!) while being heavily inspired by the iconic film and its most famous scenes. Unfortunately, these two dont get to spend a lot of time together as Miguel is currently stationed with the Army in Afghanistan, so we thought it would be cool to do something fun for the short time Miguel was home on leave and temporarily bring “Fellini’s Italy” to them in CT as a preview of their honeymoon to come. Not to mention that Courtney is gorgeous and looks strikingly similar to Anita Ekberg, the films iconic star which was an awesome coincidence!
This shoot also could not have happened without their ridiculously awesome and talented wedding planner Amanda, of
Solo Tu Events, from the cafe space, to shooting at
Wadsworth Mansion &
Bushnell Park, Amanda brought everyone's vision to life!
So enjoy because nothing screams, “L-O-V-E” more to me than cannolis, black ray-bans, skinny ties and Italian sports cars!!!

Thank you so much to all the vendors who helped make Courtney & Miguel's photos even more amazing!!!
